Terms of sale

The terms on which My Store sells to you through this website. Please read them before placing an order.

About these terms

These terms apply to every order placed through this website. By placing an order you accept them, so please read them first. Nothing in these terms reduces your statutory rights as a consumer — where a term conflicts with the law, the law applies. Our legal notice says who we are and how to reach us.

Placing an order

Adding a piece to your bag and completing checkout is an offer to buy. We send an order confirmation by email to acknowledge it; that email is not yet acceptance. The contract between us is formed when we confirm your order has been dispatched.

If we cannot accept your order — a piece has sold out, a pricing error is obvious, or we cannot deliver to your address — we will tell you and refund any payment taken in full. You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract to order.

Prices and payment

  • Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include any tax applied at checkout.
  • Delivery is charged separately. The options available for your address and their cost are shown at checkout, before you pay. Nothing is added afterwards.
  • Payment is taken at checkout through our payment provider. Your card details are handled by that provider and never stored by us.
  • Prices can change at any time, but a change never affects an order we have already accepted.
  • If a price is obviously wrong and you could reasonably have recognised the error, we may cancel the order and refund you rather than supply at that price.
  • Orders delivered outside the UK may attract import duties or local taxes, payable by you to the carrier or local authority.

Our garments

We photograph every piece as faithfully as we can, but screens vary, and white reads differently under different light. Small differences in shade or in the weave of a natural fibre are characteristic of the cloth, not a fault. Measurements are given as a guide; because our fabrics are cut and finished in small runs, a slight variation between pieces is normal.

Stock is limited. If a piece becomes unavailable after you order, we will contact you and refund that item in full.

Delivery

Delivery options, prices and estimated times are shown at checkout for the address you enter. How an order is prepared and sent is described on our shipping page. Risk in the goods passes to you when they are delivered to the address you gave. If delivery is delayed by something outside our control, we will tell you and do what we reasonably can to limit the delay.

Cancelling and returning

As a consumer buying at distance you have a legal right to cancel, in addition to any return we offer as a gesture. The period, the condition the piece must be in and how to send it back are set out in full in our returns and refunds policy, which forms part of these terms.

Faulty or misdescribed goods

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 everything we sell must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If a piece is faulty or not as described you have a short-term right to reject it for a full refund within 30 days of receipt, and after that a right to repair or replacement. Contact us with your order number and a photo and we will sort it out. These rights are yours by law and cost you nothing.

Your account

If you create an account, keep your password confidential and tell us promptly if you think someone else has used it. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account. We may suspend or close an account that is being used fraudulently or in breach of these terms.

Using this website

The site, its text, photography and designs belong to us or our licensors. You may browse, and print or download extracts for your own personal use, but you may not use our images or copy for commercial purposes, resell our products as new on another platform using our imagery, or attempt to interfere with the site’s security.

We work to keep the site available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may change or withdraw parts of it.

Our responsibility to you

We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We do not exclude or limit our liability in any way where it would be unlawful to do so — including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for your statutory rights over goods that are faulty, not as described or not fit for purpose.

We are not liable for loss that was not foreseeable, nor for business losses, since we supply our products for private domestic use.

Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as extreme weather, carrier disruption or interruption of utilities. If such an event causes a significant delay we will contact you, and you may cancel the affected order and receive a refund.

Complaints and disputes

If something goes wrong, write to our contact page with your order number and we will respond. If we cannot resolve it between us, you may be able to take the matter to an alternative dispute resolution body; nothing stops you from bringing court proceedings.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example to reflect a change in the law or in how we operate. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it. The date at the top shows when this version took effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes may be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your own courts.
